Program Schedule: Please note that the itinerary below is for reference only, and is subject to change based on train schedules, your physical condition, pace, and any unforeseen circumstances.

Accommodations: Our prices for two or more guests are based on double or triple occupancy per tent. If you prefer a single tent, an additional supplement of $489.00 will apply.

Train Stations and Schedules: Please be aware that train stations and schedules are subject to change based on availability. Additionally, due to rain, the Poroy train station is closed from January to the end of April each year, our friendly staff will meet and escort you from the Ollantaytambo train station. 

Walking sticks are included for your convenience, ensuring added support and comfort during your glamping adventure. Note: walking sticks are not permitted at Machu Picchu in order to preserve this iconic site.

Permits Required: 500 permits are issued per day, half for the tourists and half for the porters. You can only hike the Inca Trail with a licensed travel agency like ourselves. We recommend booking at least 6 months in advance so we can guarantee your preferred date.

Day 5 - Through Wiñay Wayna & the Sun Gate, to Machu Picchu

Your journey to Machu Picchu begins before dawn as you depart the Sacred Valley and board the elegant
Vistadome train, following the winding course of the Urubamba River into the cloud forest. Upon reaching Km 104, the gateway to the Royal Inca Trail, your exclusive trekking experience begins.

The trail leads through lush vegetation alive with orchids, hummingbirds, and breathtaking mountain
scenery. Along the way, visit the fascinating archaeological site of Chachabamba before continuing toward
the spectacular ruins of Wiñay Wayna, meaning “Forever Young.” Perched dramatically on the mountainside, this remarkable complex of terraces, temples, and ceremonial fountains is considered one of the most beautiful sites along the entire Inca Trail.

After a gourmet picnic lunch surrounded by the Andes, continue your ascent along the ancient stone
pathway toward Inti Punku, the legendary Sun Gate. As you pass through this final gateway, Machu Picchu suddenly reveals itself in the distance, a truly unforgettable moment and one of the world’s most iconic travel experiences.

Day 6 - Machu Picchu: Exploring the Lost City of the Incas

This morning, meet your private guide at your hotel and board the shuttle bus for the scenic ascent to Machu Picchu, the legendary citadel hidden among the cloud-kissed peaks of the Andes.

Accompanied by your expert guide, explore the most remarkable sectors of this UNESCO World Heritage
Site, uncovering the mysteries, history, and architectural brilliance of the Inca civilization. Wander through ancient temples, ceremonial plazas, agricultural terraces, and sacred spaces while taking in breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

Day 7 - Cusco's Imperial Legacy: Monuments, Traditions & Panoramic Views

Your guided tour will start at the heart of the city, in the bustling Plaza de Armas, surrounded by impressive colonial buildings. From there, we move to the sacred Qoricancha, once the most important temple in the Inca Empire dedicated to Inti, the sun god. Despite the Spanish conquest, which stripped the temple of its lavish gold, the remaining stone walls stand as a testament to the precision and skill of Incan engineering.

Next, we’ll delve into the vibrant life of Cusco at the San Pedro Market. This lively market is the perfect place to experience the local culture firsthand. Wander among stalls brimming with fresh produce, exotic fruits, and traditional goods. It’s a feast for the senses of s, smells, and sounds where you can discover the variety of Peruvian corn, and perhaps even chat with local artisans and farmers, continuing our adventure to the fortress of Sacsayhuaman.

Positioned strategically on a hill overlooking Cusco, this fortress is celebrated for its colossal limestone
blocks, carefully carved and assembled without mortar in a testament to Incan architectural brilliance. Here, you can absorb panoramic views of the city below and the rugged Andean landscapes that surround it.
