Program Schedule: Please note that the itinerary below is for reference only, and is subject to change based on train schedules, your physical condition, pace, and any unforeseen circumstances.

Accommodations: Our prices for two or more guests are based on double or triple occupancy per tent. If you prefer a single tent, an additional supplement of $489.00 will apply.

Train Stations and Schedules: Please be aware that train stations and schedules are subject to change based on availability. Additionally, due to rain, the Poroy train station is closed from January to the end of April each year, our friendly staff will meet and escort you from the Ollantaytambo train station. 

Walking sticks are included for your convenience, ensuring added support and comfort during your glamping adventure. Note: walking sticks are not permitted at Machu Picchu in order to preserve this iconic site.

If you wish to climb Huayna Picchu or Montaña Machu Picchu during your visit, please consult with your travel specialist to secure tickets, as these spots are in high demand and tend to sell out quickly. Additional costs apply for these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Itinerary: Luxury Hidden Inca Trail – 4 Days

Day 1 Cusco – Rosaspata – Cochayoq (L, D)

The Adventure Begins: First Steps on the Hidden Trail 

Enjoy a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Cusco before departing with your guide on a scenic drive through the Sacred Valley. Stop at sites like the Taray Viewpoint and Calca, then continue to Rosaspata, where your adventure begins. Hike through fields dotted with alpacas, llamas, and sheep, meeting locals in traditional attire along the way. Pause at the Machuwasi archaeological site for lunch with views over the Lares Valley.

After three more hours of hiking through a stunning gorge, arrive at the Cochayoq community campsite (3,880 m / 12,729 ft.). At the campsite, gather for the “Ofrenda a la Madre Tierra,” a ceremony to honor Pachamama, Mother Earth. After settling in, share candies or school supplies with local children. As the day winds down, relax with a hot shower, massage, and á la carte spa treatments before enjoying a gourmet dinner. Retreat to your heated tent for a restful night beneath the stars.

Day 2 Cochayoq – Terihuay Jasa Pass – Quelqanqa (B, L, D)

Awakening in the Andes: Accomplishing Terihuayjasa Pass

Start your day with an energizing yoga session to connect with nature in the Lares Valley, followed by a nourishing breakfast. Begin your journey up the Terihuayjasa Pass (4,400 m / 14,435 ft.), passing the serene Yanacocha Lake (4,210 m / 13,812 ft.). At the pass, celebrate your accomplishment with a champagne toast and take in the breathtaking Peruvian landscape.

Descend to Quelqnqa Camp (3,900 m / 12,795 ft.), where hot showers, a massage, and spa treatments await. For dinner, savor an authentic Pachamanca feast, a pre-Inca tradition brought to life with a gourmet touch by our culinary team. As you dine, our guide will share captivating legends of Inca gods, mountain spirits, and Pachamama, bringing the ancient beliefs of this land to life.

Day 3 Quelqanqa – Aguas Calientes (B, L, D)

 

Cultural Connections and Journey to the Ancient Citadel 

After a balanced breakfast served in the dining tent, enjoy a morning of cultural immersion with local children and families. Learn Quechua phrases, share school supplies and candies, and gain insight into traditional Andean life. Then, board transportation to the Ollantaytambo train station, stopping for lunch at the Yanamayo viewpoint (4,270 m / 14,009 ft.) with breathtaking views of Veronica Mountain (5,682 m / 18,641 ft.). Toast the incredible crew who made this journey unforgettable before boarding the scenic train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway town to Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, a friendly staff member will escort you to your luxury hotel, where you can enjoy the amenities, a delicious dinner, and finalize your plans for tomorrow’s visit to the ancient citadel.

Day 4 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B, L)

A Dream Come True: Explore the Magnificent Machu Picchu

At the designated time, board the shuttle bus with your guide for an unforgettable journey to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. Accompanied by your expert guide, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich history and intriguing theories surrounding this iconic Inca citadel. Take your time soaking in the magic of this wonder and capturing unforgettable photos. For those seeking more adventure, an optional hike up Huayna Picchu or Montaña Machu Picchu offers dramatic views from above, though this addition must be selected ahead of time.

After exploring, enjoy a satisfying lunch at one of Aguas Calientes’ finest restaurants. Later, board the Luxury Hiram Bingham Train for a scenic return journey. Upon arrival at the train station, a friendly staff member will escort you to your hotel in Cusco, where you can relax and reflect on your extraordinary adventure.
