DAY 1 CUSCO– UPIS VILLAGE– UPIS HOT SPRINGS (L, D)

A Luxurious Adventure Begins: First Steps on the Ausangate Trail

Begin your Ausangate adventure with an early morning departure from Cusco. Settle in for a scenic 3-hour drive, passing through the impressive Urcos Pass (4,000 m / 13,123 ft.), where sweeping views of the Andes set the tone for the journey ahead. Arriving in Upis Village (4,250 m / 13,943 ft.), start your trek on a gently ascending trail, moving northwest towards the imposing Ausangate mountain.
