The Journey Begins: Gateway to the Inca Trail
Your luxurious Peruvian glamping adventure begins today! After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Ollantaytambo to purchase any last-minute essentials. Continue to Piscacucho (KM 82), the start of the Inca Trail, where you’ll meet your dedicated team.
The trek begins with stunning views of the Urubamba River and Veronica Mountain, passing semi-arid landscapes, Andean villages, and Llactapata ruins. Enjoy a gourmet lunch at Tarayoc, then hike through the lush Llulluchapampa Valley.
At our Wayllabamba campsite, participate in the “Ofrenda a la Madre Tierra” ceremony honoring Pachamama, the Mother Earth. Unwind with a hot shower, soothing massage, and à la carte spa treatments. End the day with a gourmet dinner before retiring to your heated tent under the stars.

The Challenges and Rewards of the Andes: Summiting Dead Woman’s Pass
Start your day with a lavish breakfast before the most challenging part of the Inca Trail. Begin with a 1.5-hour climb through lush forest to Ayapata (3,328 m / 10,918 ft.), stopping for a delicious lunch at Llulluchapampa (3,760 m / 12,335 ft.). Here, you’ll be treated to an authentic Pachamanca, a traditional Peruvian feast that dates back to pre-Inca times. This tender and flavorful meal, infused with the rich earthiness of the land and a gourmet twist, will be prepared by our expert culinary team.
After lunch, tackle the demanding 2.5-hour ascent to Dead Woman’s Pass (4,215 m / 13,828 ft.) for breathtaking views and a sense of accomplishment. Descend to the peaceful Pacaymayo campsite (3,500 m / 11,482 ft.), where you can enjoy a hot shower, restorative massage, and à la carte spa treatments.
While you enjoy dinner, our knowledgeable guide will share captivating legends passed down through generations, bringing to life the ancient beliefs of Inca Gods, mountain spirits, and the powerful forces of Pachamama (Mother Earth).

The Journey’s Pinnacle: Machu Picchu
Begin your day with an early rise and a delicious breakfast, preparing yourself for the final and most anticipated leg of your journey—Machu Picchu. Following the ancient Inca steps, we’ll pass through the breathtaking Wiñay Wayna archaeological site, where vibrant orchids dot the landscape with bursts of color. As we ascend, we approach the sacred Sun Gate (Intipunku), offering stunning views of the cloud forest and intricate Inca terraces as we navigate tunnels carved into the mountainside. At last, we reach the awe-inspiring Sun Gate (2,750 m / 9,020 ft.), where you’ll witness your first magical glimpse of Machu Picchu. The sight of the ancient citadel, framed by towering peaks, is an emotional and truly unforgettable moment.
After savoring the moment, descend for about 50 minutes to the citadel (2,430 m / 7,972 ft.). From there, a quick shuttle takes you to Aguas Calientes (2,040 m / 6,693 ft.) and your luxury hotel, where you can unwind a delicious lunch and a gourmet dinner and recharge for tomorrow’s full exploration of Machu Picchu.

A Dream Comes True: Tour the Magical Machu Picchu!
At the designated time, board the shuttle bus with your guide for an unforgettable journey to the awe-inspiring Machu Picchu. Accompanied by your expert guide, you’ll immerse yourself in the rich history and intriguing theories surrounding this iconic Inca citadel. Take your time soaking in the magic of this world wonder and capturing unforgettable photos. For those seeking more adventure, an optional hike up Huayna Picchu or Montaña Machu Picchu offers dramatic views from above, though this addition must be selected ahead of time.
After exploring, enjoy a satisfying à la carte lunch at the Sanctuary Lodge. Later, board the Luxury Hiram Bingham Train for a scenic return journey. Upon arrival at the train station, a View Peru staff member will escort you to your hotel in Cusco, where you can relax and reflect on your extraordinary adventure. We had an incredible time exploring the Andes on the 4-day Inca Trail hike with ViewPeru. The mountain views were spectacular and we learned so much about local history and culture.
Amazing trip on the Inca Trail with View Peru. Every detail was taken care of and accounted for during our adventure. The gear they use is top-notch, and the camp setup was beautiful and comfortable.
I must say I have never experienced this luxury in a camping/ hiking tour. We did the 4 day Inca trail from Ollanyaymbo through warmiwanusca pass to Machu Picchu from Sep 4-7 2024. We were pampered and our every wish was fulfilled. The tents were very spacious ; the beds super comfortable; sleeping bags were so warm.
A great outfit and Sebastian is an awesome guide. The tents and food on the Inca trail was second to none. There were hot showers and massages every evening. The chef Carlos has a knack for whipping up awesome delicacies
