When you think of the many ruins in Peru, you probably think first of the monuments of the Inca. But the Inca were not an ancient people — they had established themselves as the dominant culture in Peru for less than a century when the Spanish arrived in 1532. Peru has many layers of human civilization, dating back 12,000 years. Experts and government officials guess that there are around 100,000 sites of archaeological significance in Peru. Around 10,000 of these sites have been excavated. There is still much to uncover.
Peru is home to some of the oldest cities in the world. Among others in very different locations of the country we have, Sechin, Caral, Chavin, Nazca, Moche, Wari, Sican, Chachapoyas, Chimu and many others
It is difficult to decide which place or tour is good for all our desires and needs. In this amazing country you will find everything
But, let’s go to the versus between these two experiences that take away our words
Inca trail, a centuries-old magnificent achievement of the Inca people as their road system. It is estimated the Inca trails cover a length of 40 000 kilometers; it even surpasses the length of the Andes mountains.
There is not a significant and huge difference in terms of views and places to see that impact your journey when hiking whichever of the Inca Trail version. The worldwide known Classic Inca trail 4-day hike, and the other 5-day Inca trail hike.
But whether in 4 days or 5 days, our luxury service, with extreme comfort, will make you have one of the most memorable experiences with a great human team and equipment, that you will not have to ask for anything else and, with the wonderful food that is prepared in the same place every day
Anyone who loves the outdoors should be thinking of hiking the Inca Trail. There’s a reason this multi-day trek tops travelers’ bucket lists. Many people say that hiking the Inca Trail is better than visiting Machu Picchu itself.
The 4-day trek covers a distance of approximately 42 kilometers and involves hiking for 4 days with the final day being dedicated to exploring Machu Picchu. The trail begins at Km 82, where trekkers cross the Urubamba River and then ascend to the ruins of Llactapata, followed by Dead Woman’s Pass, Runkurakay, Sayacmarca, and Wiñay Wayna. On the fourth day, trekkers wake up early to hike to Machu Picchu and arrive at the Sun Gate in time to see the sunrise over the ruins
The 5-day trek covers the same distance as the 4-day trek, but it is spread out over 5 days. This means that there is less distance to cover each day, and trekkers can take their time and enjoy the scenery along the way. The fifth day includes the same visit to Machu Picchu as the 4-day trek.
Recapping, both the 4-day and 5-day Inca Trail treks are great options, and the choice between them depends on personal preferences, physical fitness, and time constraints. If you have the extra day and prefer a more relaxed pace, the 5-day trek might be the better option. However, if you are short on time or prefer a more challenging hike, the 4-day trek might be a better fit.
