Luxury Quarry Inca Trail – 4 Days – A High-End Experience

Explore ceremonial centers as Choquekilla or Golden Moon, visit typical communities as Socma, natural wonders like Perolniyoc waterfall or the mighty Buena Negra Pass, and picture the impressive methods which the Incas used to move huge rocks from the Cachicata quarry to Ollantaytambo town.

Suggestions & Restrictions

  • On day 3, if you are interested, you can complement your trek with a visit of Ollantaytambo archaeological complex for an additional cost; please feel free to consult with your travel specialist.

  • Also on day 3, please note that the last bus up to the citadel departs at 16:00 pm, for this reason we will book a hotel in Aguas Calientes. If you prefer Belmond Sanctuary Lodge there will be additional costs for modifying the itinerary.

  • Please consider that our prices from 2 people onward are based on double and triple accommodation, if you would like to have a single tent then the supplement will be of $ 249.00 per person.

  • Train stations and train schedules are subject to availability, also due to rainy season Poroy train station is closed from January to April of each year.

  • The walking sticks are not included, but if you prefer we can arrange to provide you a pair of basic poles (Standard Brand) without any charges; you just need to ask in advance to your travel specialist.

  • If you would like to climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain, please take in mind that is an unguided hike, require an additional cost and involve starting the hike at 03:00 am on the 4th day. If you are interested, please consult with your travel specialist as we need to check availability far in advance.

Itinerary: Luxury Quarry Inca Trail

Day 1 Cusco – Perolniyoc Waterfall - Rayanniyoc (L, D)

Prepare and get strong for this intense start

“Embark on your Cusco adventure with an early breakfast, followed by a transfer to Socma community. Trek 2.5 hours to the breathtaking Perolniyoc Waterfall and Raqaypata archaeological site. Unwind at Rayanniyoc luxury camp, with yoga, gourmet dinner, and soothing massages. Relax in the serene natural surroundings of your heated bedroom tent, under the stars.”

Day 2 Rayanniyoc – Sun Gate - Choquetacarpo (B, L, D)

Sunrises, Andean agricultural techniques, images, extraordinary views

” Witness the sunrise at camp and fuel up for a 4-hour hike to Puccaqasa Pass (4400m). Enjoy stunning valley views and snow-capped mountains. After lunch, conquer Buena Negra Pass (4500m), the trek’s highest point, with breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley. Descend to Inti Punku (3900m) and unwind at Choquetacarpo luxury camp with hot showers, massages, and gourmet dinner.”
 

Day 3 Choquetacarpo – Aguas Calientes (B, L, D)

Just a little more effort, descents, discover fortresses and continue towards the most anticipated

“Embark on the final 4.5-hour hike, showcasing breathtaking views of the Sacred Valley and Ollantaytambo. Explore Cachicata quarry, uncovering its Inca history. Descend to Ollantaytambo town, bid farewell to the trekking crew, and enjoy lunch. Board the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes (arrival 17:02 pm). Relax in your luxurious hotel, with dinner and a well-deserved rest.”

Day 4 Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu – Cusco (B, L)

“Start the day with an early pickup and bus ride to Machu Picchu (2430m), witnessing the sunrise over the Lost City of the Incas (weather permitting). Explore the ancient citadel with a knowledgeable guide, uncovering its engineering and architectural secrets. Conclude with lunch at Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, then return to Aguas Calientes and Cusco via train and private vehicle.”
