Program Schedule: Please note that the itinerary below is for reference only, and is subject to change based on train schedules, your physical condition, pace, and any unforeseen circumstances.

Accommodations During Trek: Our prices for two or more guests are based on double or triple occupancy per tent. If you prefer a single tent, an additional supplement of $489.00 will apply.

Train Stations and Schedules: Please be aware that train stations and schedules are subject to change based on availability. Additionally, due to rain, the Poroy train station is closed from January to the end of April each year, our friendly staff will meet and escort you from the Ollantaytambo train station. 

Walking sticks are included for your convenience, ensuring added support and comfort during your glamping adventure. Note: walking sticks are not permitted at Machu Picchu in order to preserve this iconic site.

Huayna Picchu & Montaña Machu Picchu are optional hikes at Machu Picchu, please consult with your travel specialist to secure tickets, as these spots are in high demand and tend to sell out quickly. Additional costs apply for these once-in-a-lifetime experiences.

Itinerary: Inca Trail Luxury Adventure – 8 Days

Day 1: Arrive in Cusco - Sacred Valley of the Incas (B, L)

Welcome to the charming ancient city of Cusco, once the capital of the Inca Empire. Upon your arrival at Cusco Airport, a friendly team member will be there to greet you warmly and escort you by private transfer to your luxury hotel in the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Visit the Sulca Textile Center to observe the weavings from the different civilizations of Peru. You can pet the adorable camelids before continuing to the lush valley. Feast on a delectable lunch before going to your comfortable hotel tucked away in the valley to relax and unwind.

Day 2: SACRED VALLEY - MARAS - MORAY - OLLANTAYTAMBO (B, L)

Cultural Treasures and Scenic Wonders of the Sacred Valley

Begin your day with a sumptuous breakfast at your hotel, then dive into the heart of the Andean highlands. Explore the breathtaking Maras Salt Mines, a cascading patchwork of terraced salt ponds carved into the mountainside. Discover the time-honored methods local families have used for centuries to extract salt, while taking in the spectacular views. Continue to the high plateau for a visit to the Moray circular depressions which are a mind-boggling vision. Savor a gourmet lunch amidst the serene landscapes of the Sacred Valley, indulging in traditional Peruvian flavors with a modern twist. Finally, a visit to the only surviving Inca town of Ollantaytambo, where you’ll walk among towering stone terraces and Inca ruins. Wander through the village’s narrow, cobbled streets, soaking in the timeless atmosphere of this living Inca stronghold.

Day 3 - Cusco – Piscacucho – Wayllabamba (B, L, D)

  • The Journey Begins: Gateway to the Inca Trail

    Your luxurious Peruvian glamping adventure begins today! After breakfast at your hotel, your guide will take you on a scenic drive to Ollantaytambo (2,792 m / 9,160 ft.) to purchase any last minute essentials. From there you’ll continue to Piscacucho (KM 82), the gateway to the Inca Trail, where you’ll meet your dedicated team.

    The trek starts with stunning views of the Urubamba River and the snow-capped Veronica Mountain (5,893 m / 19,334 ft.). You’ll pass through semi-arid landscapes, Andean villages, and the ancient Llactapata ruins. A gourmet lunch awaits at Tarayoc (2,675 m / 8,776 ft.), before continuing through the lush Llulluchapampa Valley.

    Upon reaching our luxury Wayllabamba campsite we gather for the “Ofrenda a la Madre Tierra.” This is a powerful ceremony where we express our gratitude and reverence for Pachamama, the Mother Earth.

    Treat yourself to a revitalizing hot shower and a soothing massage amidst the serene natural surroundings. Choose from personalized à la carte treatments—from deep muscle relief to hot stones and aromatherapy—all available to help rejuvenate the body and soul.

    End the day with a spectacular meal prepared by our talented chef, and retreat to your heated tent for a peaceful night under the stars, ready for the adventures to come.

Day 4 - Wayllabamba – Dead Woman’s Pass – Pacaymayo (B, L, D)

The Challenge and Rewards of the Andes: Summiting Dead Woman’s Pass

Rise with the brilliant sun and enjoy a lavish breakfast to prepare for the most challenging day of the Inca Trail. The adventure begins with a 1.5-hour climb towards the Ravine of Ayapata (3,328 m / 10,019 ft.) passing through a lush forest and following a crystalline stream alongside the trail. We will stop for a delectable lunch  in Llulluchapampa (3,760 m / 12,336 ft.), where you’ll be treated to an authentic Pachamanca. This traditional Peruvian feast dates back to pre-Inca times. This tender and flavorful meal, infused with the rich earthiness of the land and a gourmet twist, will be prepared by our dedicated culinary team. While you feast, our knowledgeable guide will share captivating legends passed down through generations, bringing to life the ancient beliefs of Inca Gods, mountain spirits, and the powerful forces of Pachamama (Mother Earth). 

After lunch, we take on the most demanding climb—2.5 hours of ascent to reach the summit of Dead Woman’s Pass (4,215 m / 13,829 ft.), where you’ll be rewarded with exhilarating views and a profound sense of accomplishment. 

After descending, we will arrive at our serene Pacaymayo campsite (3,500 m / 11,483 ft.), nestled in a valley surrounded by towering mountains. Here, you’ll revel in a hot shower, delicious dinner, and allow a restorative massage to melt away any tension from the trek, and take advantage of additional spa treatments if you choose.

  • Arrival at campsite: 17:00 pm (5:00 pm)
  • Minimum Altitude: Ayapata site – 3,328 meters / 10,918 feet

Day 5 - Pacaymayo – Phuyupatamarca (B, L, D)

Inca Legacy: Ruins and Cloud Forests

Begin your day with a peaceful yoga session in the Andes to uplift your spirit, followed by an energizing breakfast. Start the trek with a 1-hour hike to the Runkurakay ruins, an ancient Inca checkpoint with unique semi-circle architecture, then ascend to Runkurakay Pass (3,950 m / 12,959 ft.). Pass by a scenic lake and the ancient settlements of Sayacmarca and Chaquicocha, and enjoy a gourmet lunch amidst lush greenery.

As you hike, immerse yourself in the rich biodiversity of the cloud forest, where vibrant orchids, bromeliads, ferns, and colorful birds like hummingbirds and tanagers thrive. Upon reaching our Phuyupatamarca campsite, unwind with a hot shower, massage, or spa treatment. Then join our talented chef in the cooking tent for a cooking demonstration. You’ll learn first hand about his methods and use of fresh, organic ingredients sourced locally from the Andes, allowing you to deepen your knowledge of Peruvian culture.

As night falls, enjoy the magic of stargazing in the Peruvian Andes. Far from city lights, the sky dazzles with stars, constellations, and the Milky Way. Guided by a laser pointer, your guide will reveal the cosmic wonders overhead. (Must be requested at booking to ensure availability of specialized guide.)

Day 6 - Phuyupatamarca - Machu Picchu - Cusco (B, L,D)

Dreams Actualized: Arrive at Machu Picchu, one of the Seven Wonders of the World

Begin your day with an early breakfast before embarking on the final stretch to Machu Picchu. Follow ancient Inca steps to the breathtaking Wiñaywayna site. Surrounded by the stunning views of the cloud forest and intricate Inca terraces, your path winds through tunnels carved into the mountainside.

At last, we arrive at the awe-inspiring Sun Gate (2,750 m / 9,020 ft.) for your first awe-inspiring view of Machu Picchu, framed by towering peaks and cloud forest. After a 45-minute descent, arrive at the citadel, where your guide will share the history and mysteries of this iconic site. Capture photos and savor the experience, followed by a gourmet lunch in Aguas Calientes. Conclude your journey with a luxurious ride on the Hiram Bingham Train back to Cusco. Upon arrival at the train station, a friendly staff member will escort you to your hotel in Cusco, where you can relax and reflect on your extraordinary adventure.

Day 7 Cusco: Sacsayhuaman - Plaza de Armas (B, L)

Embark on an unforgettable journey through Cusco’s rich history and culture. After breakfast, meet your expert local guide for a private tour starting at Sacsayhuamán, an impressive archaeological site above Cusco, where your guide will bring ancient history to life overlooking the city.
Next, explore San Blas, Cusco’s artistic quarter, with its colorful streets, boutique shops, and artisanal workshops. Continue to Qoricancha, the legendary Temple of the Sun, where Inca and colonial architecture meet.
