  • Program Schedule: (Please note that the below timings are for referential purposes only and may vary depending on train schedules, your physical condition, pace and unforeseen circumstances)
  • Please consider that our prices from 2 people onward are based on double and triple accommodation, if you would like to have a single tent then the supplement will be of $ 489.00 per person.
  • Train stations and train schedules are subject to availability, also due to rainy season Poroy train station is closed from January to April of each year.
  • The walking sticks are not included, but if you prefer we can arrange to provide you a pair of basic poles (Standard Brand) without any charges; you just need to ask in advance to your travel specialist.
  • If you would like to climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain, please take in mind that is an unguided hike, require an additional cost and involve starting the hike at 03:00 am on the 4th day. If you are interested, please consult with your travel specialist as we need to check availability far in advance.

Itinerary: Choquequirao Trek

Day 1 Cusco - Saywite - Chiquiska (L, D)

Embark on a thrilling adventure today, filled with breathtaking landscapes and unforgettable experiences.
Begin with a hearty breakfast at your Cusco hotel, then journey northwest with our expert guide. Stop at Curahuasi town for supplies and visit the enigmatic Saywite stone site. Continue to Capuliyoc, where a luxury picnic lunch awaits.
Hike through stunning Apurimac valley views and descend towards Chiquiska (1890m), nestled in the canyon. Unwind with a hot shower, relaxing massage, and gourmet dinner crafted with organic delights. Retire to your cozy luxury tent, ready for a restful night under the stars.

Day 2 Chiquiska – Choquequirao Campsite (B, L, D)

Day 2: Descend into Adventure, Ascend to Serenity
Fuel up with breakfast, then embark on a thrilling hike. Cross the Apurimac River via suspension bridge and ascend to Santa Rosa, where breathtaking views await.
Continue upward, surrounded by vibrant vegetation and birdlife, to Marampata. Savor a nourishing lunch amidst stunning views of Choquequirao’s lower ruins.
Unwind with a leisurely stroll to our luxury campsite, nestled near the archaeological site. Rejuvenate with yoga, hot showers, and soothing massages. Share tales of adventure over dinner, then retreat to your cozy tent, ready for a restful night under the stars.

Day 3 Choquequirao Campsite – Choquequirao – Pacchayoc– Choquequirao Campsite (B, L, D)

    Spend the day exploring majestic Choquequirao, which rivals Machu Picchu in grandeur and architecture.
    Begin with a leisurely 1-hour hike to the archaeological site, located at 3100m. Be amazed by the breathtaking views of the Andean mountains and the valley below.
    Our expert guide will unravel the history and mysteries of this ancient citadel as you discover:
    Sacred temples and astronomical observatories.
  • Intricate hydraulic canals and terraces
  • Ancient sectors and ruins
    After lunch, walk to the enchanting waterfall and terraces of Pacchayoc. Relax with a rejuvenating hot shower and massage, followed by a gourmet dinner amidst Choquequirao’s breathtaking scenery.

Day 4 Choquequirao Campsite - Marampata - Chiquiska (B, L, D)

Day 5 Chiquiska – Capuliyoc - Cusco (B, L)

 

ExpHerience a majestic finale to your trek. Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the canyon, then energize with breakfast. Ascend 6 hours to Capuliyoc, surrounded by stunning views of Padreyoc’s snow-capped peak and the Apurimac canyon. Celebrate with a farewell toast to your crew. Then, embark on a 5-hour journey back to Cusco, sharing stories with your guide. Arrive at your hotel by 19:00 pm, culminating an unforgettable adventure.
