  • If you would like to climb to Huayna Picchu Mountain, please take in mind that is an unguided hike and require and additional cost. If you are interested, please consult with your travel specialist as we need to check availability far in advance
  • Train stations and train schedules are subject to availability, also due to rainy season Poroy train station is closed from January to April of each year.
  • The train to Puno only runs Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday (if your itinerary that’s not match these days then you must have to take a private transportation or fly, please consult the options with your travel specialist.)

    Day 1WELCOME TO LIMA (D)

    Start to know this beautiful country by Lima, the capital; its people, streets and avenues; its climate and beaches without missing the delight of beginning to know one of the best foods in the world

    Once you have arrived in Lima, a representative will welcome you at Lima airport, from where you will be transferred to your hotel.

    On the way, our representative will review your itinerary and will be gladly answering any question you may have. You will have plenty of time to settle at your luxurious hotel and rest until dinner time. By the evening, you will be taken to enjoy the fantastic dinning of Lima and when you have finished you will be transferred to your hotel.

    Day 2WELCOME TO CUSCO – SACRED VALLEY (B, L, D)

    This is the real beginning of the adventure, of the images and landscapes, of the culture and history, of the archaeology and monuments; from today you will live your dreams 

    Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your guide and then transferred to the Sacred Valley. Our adventure begins with our first stop in Pisac to visit its cheerful and colorful market. This is the perfect opportunity to purchase some souvenirs for your loved ones at home. Later, you will enjoy an exquisite lunch in a fine restaurant in the Sacred Valley.

    After you have finished lunch we will then visit Ollantaytambo, a cobblestone town that shelters the magnificent fortress that has the same name and where your expert guide will have introduced you into the Incas ancient world. By the evening we have made arrangements for you to eat in an exclusive restaurant to enjoy the delicious Peruvian gastronomy.

    Day 3MARAS & MORAY HORSEBACK RIDING (B, L)

    Continuing with the trip of your dreams special and incredible places wait for you today, riding a horse you through places full salt and agriculture

    After you have enjoyed a delicious breakfast, we will start moving toward the ranch. After your important briefing on safety and basic horseback riding instruction reach the Maras Salt mines and see how the salt is collected by hand.

    Later, we must keep riding up until we reach Maras village to check the San Francisco de Asis church. We will reach soon a perfect stop to enjoy our picnic lunch with the views of a snow capped mountain right in front of us. Then ride through Maras and head toward our next stop Moray. An incredible place that used to be an agricultural laboratory in the Incas time. After this last visit it is time to get back to the ranch and from there you will be transported to your luxury hotel to enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure.

    Day 4CUSCO – SORAYPAMPA - SOYROCOCHA (L, D)

    Prepare for the beginning of a special adventure that starts today; discoveries, impressive places, culture and history

    Start the adventure in Cusco. Once you enjoy breakfast (or box breakfast from your hotel), our expert guide will welcome and escort you in our private transportation. After 3.5 hours, reach the Soraypampa town (3920 m. / 12860.9 ft.) If you are interested in Humantay Lake then it is possible to accomplish this visit in 3 hours roundtrip with prior announcement to the guide.

    The trek begins winding through an amazing valley and overwhelming panoramic views of the snow-capped peaks and surroundings for more than 200 minutes. We will appreciate the Salkantay (6271 m. / 20574.2 ft.) and the Humantay (5862 m. / 19232.3 ft.) Then we will reach Salkantaypampa (4154 m. / 13628.6 ft) where our exquisite lunch is ready for us.

    We will keep hiking for another 2.5 hours towards our luxury campsite called Soyrococha (4480 m. /14698.2 ft.) Before dinner, indulge into a hot shower and then, our massage tent is ready for you. It is time for a fantastic gourmet and organic dinner. Your heated tent will be waiting for you to enjoy your first night.

    Day 5SOYROCOCHA – SALKANTAY PASS – COLLPAPAMPA (B, L, D)

    An early sunrise to continue our walks and discoveries and toasting for what has been achieved to finally have a well-deserved relaxation

    Continuing our escapade and breakfast, we will begin a challenging day. Hike for 1.5 hours towards Salkantay Pass (4638 m. / 15216.5 ft.) and be welcomed by the Salkantay Mountain (6271 mts/20574.2 ft) and its marvelous landscapes. Celebrate this milestone, toasting with champagne. Experienced hikers can add Salkantaycocha (1-hour round trip) to the trek.

    Notice the lush colorful endemic vegetation of the area and descend by 3.5 hours until you reach our lunch place, Wayracmachay (3906 m, / 12814.9 ft.)
    Next, the 4-hour way to the campsite for 4 more hours features interesting sites such as Andenes and Chaullay, home of orchids, bromeliads and other flora species. By the time we reach our luxury and warm Collpapampa campsite (2870 m. / 9416.0 ft.) in the cloud forest. Again, our hot shower and massage tent will be at your disposal. Finish your day with a delicate dinner and peaceful starry night.

    Day 6COLLPAPAMPA – LLUSCAMAYO – PLAYA SAHUAYACO (B, L, D)

    With a magical awakening we will begin our day from heights but raising our emotions

    Then, we will take a hot shower, a boost of energy with our nourishing breakfast and be ready for the 5 hours hike through the most beautiful day of the trek, where you will admire the magnificent flora and sprawling plantations. Our hike will keep descending into a thick cloud forest that will surround us with orchids, bromelains, and other amazing and exotic flora. Come upon a secluded valley filled with expansive coffee, cacao and fruit plantations. During this journey, we will pass through the farming villages of Wiñaypoco (2650 m. / 8694.2 ft.) and Lluscamayo (2420 m. / 7939.6 ft.) that own plantations of diverse products. We will also encounter some local families and have the possibility to learn about their lifestyle.

    Lastly, arrive at our final campsite named Playa Sahuayaco (2100 m. / 6889.8 ft) just to find our well-organized staff waiting with our gourmet lunch. After finishing the luscious lunch, take a hot shower before your already-known relaxing massage. Now, it is time for a complete private tour of coffee plantations by our knowledgeable guide. Right after we will move on for the fabulous gourmet dinner served in our dining tent. Being this the last night with all of our crew, we suggest to share a final toast with them.

    Day 7PLAYA SAHUAYACO - AGUAS CALIENTES (B, L, D)

    Finally, and with the best sunrise, very early we begin our walk now not so high but always with beautiful discoveries

    This day will require the final effort. Start with a succulent breakfast at 05:00 am approx. Proceeding with the trail, we will take a 20 mins ride to Lucmabamba (2062 m. / 6765.1 ft) where an authentic inca trail is waiting for you! This 3.5 hours uphill trail towards Llaqtapata ruins (2736 m. / 8976.4 ft.) are almost fully covered by endemic vegetation. Once we reach the site we will appreciate part of Machu Picchu citadel. Then, it is time to have lunch with exceptional views at the Llaqtapata Lodge Viewpoint (2570 m. / 8431.8 ft.) Delight yourself with homemade meals and have the most splendid views of Veronica Mountain, Vilcanota River and more. Afterwards, head down for another 2 hours to Hydroelectric train station (1771 m. / 5810.4 ft.) where we will have some rest and continue hiking to Aguas Calientes town.

    Finally, reach Aguas Calientes town (2070 m. / 6791.3 ft) and be escorted to your hotel. Coordinate with your guide the pick-up time for the following day, and enjoy dinner and a restful sleep.

    Day 8AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO (B, L)

    Our most expected day has come, prepare for the magic of the trip, to the most important Inca Citadel of all the Americas; get ready for one of the experiences you can never forget

    Early in the morning, our guide will pick you up from your hotel in order to catch the bus up to the citadel for a 30 mins ride. Seeing the impressive Machu Picchu citadel (2430 m. / 7972.4 ft) will definitely be worth all the efforts. Our knowledgeable guide will teach us about the magnificent theories about the purpose of Machu Picchu, the history and its beauty. Once you have fully enjoyed and take all the perfect photos you will have some time to explore the site at your own leisure.

    To end your time at Machu Picchu, enjoy a delightful lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge Hotel. Later you will take the bus departing back to Aguas Calientes, to proceed boarding your train. Upon arrival, our View Latin America representative will collect you in our private vehicle and take you to your hotel in Cusco.

    Day 9CUSCO WALKING TOUR & BAR CRAWL (B, L, D)

    Knowing Cusco walking is the best and personal experience you will ever have; on your times and crossing streets, alleys, special places, churches, local market to finish with a drink, there is nothing better

    Stroll the beautiful streets of Cusco by late morning. Be escorted to the Main Square where your knowledgeable guide will explain the history of the Cathedral and surroundings. Walk to Regocijo Square and San Francisco Convent while you learn about Cusco history. The next stop is the well-known San Pedro Market.

    Later, have some free time to wonder at your own leisure and purchase souvenirs for your loved ones at home. By the evening, you will be taken to a special Bar Crawl, to visit 3 establishments and famous restaurants in Cusco.

    Enjoy the night learning about the types of Pisco at Pachapapa, Kion and Calle del Medio restaurants. This is your last evening in the city, so we have organized a special farewell dinner at the Main Square with an incredible view of magical Cusco.

    Day 10CUSCO – PUNO (B, L)

    From the history and the mountains with marvelous places to the altiplano is another type of experience on the route that you will keep in your memories

    Today you will have an early breakfast. Then a representative will be waiting for you to take you to the train station for you to board your Luxury Train to Puno.

    This will be a fascinating ride that will take you through Altiplano, which is a vast plateau that covers areas over Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, and Chile. On the way, you will be enchanted to watch from afar and their wild nature many llamas and alpacas. The train will stop in La Raya (4319 masl) the highest point of our journey for pictures and landscapes. Once you arrive in Puno, you will be taken to your hotel with views of Titicaca lake. The rest of the evening is yours to relax.

    ***The Train runs on specific days, optionally you can take a flight to Puno or a Land tour with several stops.

    Day 11KAYAK IN TITICACA LAKE (B, L)

    Enter and get carried away by history; in the local legend the lake is called The Birthplace of the Incas and The Birthplace of the Sun, Inca mythology says that the first Inca King, Manco Capac was born at Lake Titicaca.

    After you have enjoyed a delicious breakfast at your hotel, we will pick you and take you to the Esteves Port. Be provided with all the professional gear required and start your adventure. Once everything is settle your certified and experienced tour guide will give you an important introduction on safety and basic paddling information

    Then, it is time for you to carefully hop on your kayak and venture on the Lake. This activity will let you enjoy Titicaca Lake from a different perspective.

    As we reach the last portion of our adventure, we will start heading toward Uros island. While we paddle there we can witness first hand of all the biodiversity of the lake. Lots of birds, flora and fauna for instance. Once we reach the Uros island, the locals will welcome you into their homes and show you their lifestyle. After this incredible experience we must head back to the port and to your hotel for you to rest.

    Day 12FAREWELL (B)

    It is never the time to want to leave a country with such fantastic places, but we must, always with the hope of returning and with the magic in our memories

    Today, after you have enjoyed your delicious breakfast and at the most suitable time a View Latin America representative will be waiting for you to transfer you to the Juliaca airport to catch your flight back to Lima to connect with your international flight home.
